Mark Hillman, Ph.D., (Psy) LMHC
My goal as a therapist is to help you help yourself and to work myself out of a job.
I chose to be a psychotherapist because of my compassion and sincere desire to be of assistance to people.
I specialize in individual, marriage, and family counseling and in stress management.
My style of counseling is based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. To learn more about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) please click here
One of my strengths is the ability to create a nonjudgmental, safe and confidential environment for people to gain insight into why they think and behave the way they do.
First I am a real person, then I embrace the role of a professional therapist. Once we understand the challenges or concerns that are presented, we then collaborate to do a developmental history as to how you have been conditioned to think. As we move into the present, we design action plans for personal awareness and growth. I am a very proactive type person/therapist and will hold you accountable to implement the positive action plans. It's not only the "talking cure", it's all about action.
